Born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, Carol grew up in the Pacific Northwest, where she completed her art education. She was co-founder of a design company in Ashville, North Carolina and won numerous awards both nationally and internationally for her designs. Her work has been published in several books.
Carol loves working with the brilliant colors, textures and luminosity of the nearly pure pigment of pastels. Her extensive background of traveling has a strong influence on her subject matter and she has always enjoyed an impressionistic style. She has enjoyed painting plein air throughout Provence and Tuscany.
Carol is an award winning member of the Maryland Pastel Society whose members come from Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Her paintings have been collected throughout the U.S. as well as internationally.
