Exhibitions
McCleskey is a favorite of viewers, collectors and judges, and has both exhibited and garnered awards in major shows in Richmond, VA, North Carolina and the mid-east states. Her work has been reviewed in newspaper articles throughout the years.
In recent years, she has exhibited at the Fredericksburg Center for the Creative Arts, The Chinn House, Rappahannock Community College, Warsaw, VA, Rappahannock Regional Library, Fredericksburg, VA, Women's Club of Fredericksburg, King George Art Show, Art FIrst, Frame Design and Gallery, P. Rose Gallery and Walker Home, all of Fredericksburg.
Published works include - Palate and Palette, Celebrating Food and Art in Fredericksburg, 17th - 21st centuries.
McCleskey's work can be found in both private and public collections throughout California and the East Coast.
As a group, the North Windsor Artists have nurtured my growth as an artist for over 25 years. Their friendships, critiques and encouragement have imbued my life as an artist and as an individual.
My work consists of landscapes, still-lifes and figures. The exploration of color, without concern for strict realism and using shading and shadows only for the aesthetic value they add, inspires me. Always challenging myself allows the possibility of a painting that rises above the decorative.
