Lisa Marie Mitchell

Originally from Ohio and a graduate of the University of Mary Washington, I have lived in Fredericksburg, Virginia for twenty-five years. I have always had an affinity for the visual and historical arts. Shortly after retiring from a career in the Human Resources field, I discovered quilling – a unique art form that immediately captivated me. I have found it immensely rewarding to transform a simple piece of paper into its final intricate design. This delicate art form has truly captured my heart and imagination!

I am a self-taught artist whose work is infused with a sense of joy and playfulness inspired by nature and everyday life. I especially enjoy integrating my “birding” and gardening hobbies into my work, as well as my love for cats. Additionally, I love to create festive and eye-catching abstract pieces. In my upcoming artistic journey, I am excited about the possibilities and the continuation of expanding my own style. If my creations prompt a second look or a smile, then my objective has been met!
